My Daughter in the Shop

A few days ago my daughter wanted to come into my shop and work with me.  While I would love to spend more time with my kids doing things that actually interest me, I really didn’t know what I could give her to do that was appropriate for her age and skill level.  So I set her up with my dovetail pull saw and some wood, showed her how to use the saw, and she went to town.

I also am trying to instill a few good shop habits at this young age. She’s not allowed in the shop without safety glasses and of course since made all that sawdust, she needs to help clean it up. She was having so much fun, she was upset that she had to leave.
