Mounting A Caliper To My Drill Press Stop
While you can set Delta's DP350 to stop at a certain depth, there is no way to accurately set it without using something that is the same depth as the hole you want to drill. You can't zero it and then set the depth stop after drilling 1/2" like some other better depth stops I've used.
When I was writing my three part series about my DP 350 drill press over at Toolmonger , I found an interesting Instructable where a guy mounted a caliper to his drill press stop. I thought it might be a good way to address the DP 350 depth stop's shortcomings.
